We already started to order, -which I think Is a little late for doing -like, cmon! Why not earlier?- and prime day came on Amazon, so we ordered then, taking the time to use the discounts -Ah; well, now I get it- to buy fishing waders, waterproof boots welded to a waterproof overall so that when we are getting out of the small rubber boat we use to get to the beach to see the penguins and sea lions and all that, we don't get wet; and not only that, but so that when someone screams, “OH MY GOD GUYS COME HERE ITS A WHALE,” we can quickly put on our equipment and run out to see.
We also bought gloves! -what would we be without them?- We got electric ones with warmers, but they are too bulky for Mom, so she's going to return them. We started trying everything on to see if it fit, too. Pretty happy with them!
We can't bring much in the boat, so we can't have a too big suitcase, -aww man! I was about to bring my whole bedroom- so we have to limit it to some very warm base layers, a couple of sweaters, and the weather gear, so everything has to be very efficient. What else do you think I should bring? Tell us in the comments if you have any ideas! I appreciate your opinions!
Well, I guess that's pretty much it! Remember to subscribe!! Bye!
We went on a kayak trip in Alaska and my son's boots leaked. Luckily he had really good socks that stay warm even if they get wet (and he had an extra pair of socks that he was able to change into). We wanted to wrap his foot in a garbage bag before putting it back into the boot, but we didn't have an extra bag for that so he was just careful getting back into the kayak. I highly recommend a great pair of neoprene socks (or two).
Getting ready is a very exciting part of this unique aventure, Clara! I suggest you add a very warm, comfy beanie to the list!
